Hi there,

I'm new to this site and astronomy, taken me about an hour to figure out how to post a thread :/. Is anybody from in and around the Stoke-on-Trent area? Specifically Alsager.

I'm really interested to start doing some astrophotography but have alot of questions (probably stupid ones)

Any help would be greatly appreciated, at the minute I'm just using a little digicam on a mounting bracket

welcome to sgl Lukas, if you mean deep space astro photography this is the best place to start before you buy anything Books - Making Every Photon Count - Steve Richards it will answer many questions and provide help in asking the right questions and for an astronomy book its remarkably interesting

Thanks very much guys . Appreciate it. Yeah i wanna start taking deep space photos which obviously isnt possible with a digicam looking through the eyepiece. I understand I need to get motors to track objects and Im looking into getting a ccd camera also
