First widefield of the year was it's usual disaster. At least it keeps me on my toes.

Found enough solar film hidden away for a nearly full aperture filter. Time for some dodgy DIY.

2 flat dslr batteries, I only have 2. :( Silly oversight but at least Orion may be up by the time one is charged.

Looking clear for tonight, maybe some before and after shots of the prenumberal eclipse. It's not expected to be much more than some slight dimming.

Just used PIPP for the first time, what an excellent piece of software. Still lots of features I have to come to terms with though. For my next trick AS!2

Thinking of a new laptop, not sure which one but it has to be powerful enough to run an astro setup.

Think I have found a bargain but have to wait to see if it is still available.

Is a modded PSTs focus point different from a regular one? Can't get focus with mine.

Just my luck, it's clear and scorchio today and I am too sick for any observing.

Texereau book just arrived, it looks like it's more detailed than the others which is just what I'm after.

I like it when the postman brings goodies. :D
