  1. To clarify, I did use Autostakkert 3 to stack the images. I have also made sure that these lines are being created in Registax. I know that because not only do these lines form more frequently when I decrease the processing area (meaning I get different line patterns with the same input image), but also because I can always see lines (the faint ones, not the bright ones) trailing behind the top edge of the processing area as seen in the first attached image. Just to make double sure Registax's wavelets are the culprit, I clicked the preview button next to each layer and found that the top and bottom edges of all of the processing areas are being heavily effected by the sharpener indicated by the bright green on the second image. I did give ImPPG working, but I would like do it with Registax wavelets if I can help it since it gives lots of different options for adjusting sharpness. Thanks for the suggestions.
  2. I'm trying to use Registax Wavelets to sharpen a relatively large lunar image (about 4700, by 4000), however, I always end up with these horizontal lines running across the length of my sharpened image. I think what is happening is that every time the edge of a processing area touches the edge of another processing area, a one pixel high line is created on the border. I have tried increasing the processing area so that the whole image is surrounded by the processing area, but the program doesn't seem to want to expand the processing area past a certain size. The line in the example is fairly faint, but it becomes much more of an issue once I start making edits in Photoshop and Lightroom. Is there some way to avoid this, or am I limited by my computer?
