Hi! I got the exact same problem on my Android 11 (using the basic version). Currently Google Play store seems to carry quite an old version of their software (1.17) but from Skywatcher's web page (http://www.skywatcher.com/download/software/synscan-app/) one can find newer version. According to release notes version 1.19.10 resolves this Android issue. I cannot recommend installing random apk's from outside official Google store, but that's what I did, and now the app works for me. There is also Windows version on their page, which works too if that helps
