Hi, thanks. Yes my first image was definitely ruined by atmosphere. I just kept taking pics. I have heard of the technique but not read up about it much. I will hopefully get trying it out soon if the skies stay clear. Here's a few other shots from last night...

Well not really the first one. The first one I ever done was blurry. But this one was the next one and it turned out ok. I don't think the focus is great when you zoom in, but no matter. Single shot with Canon 600d on a Celestron 5 inch schimdt-cass.
