Thank you for the info...how big of a difference is there between the 6 inch and 8 inch model as far as what you can see ? And is THAT also something id regret not holding out for?

If read every best under $300 article i can find and tried to find an answer here...can i get a good 8 inch dob in that price range? Or would I be regretting not waiting til i can spend $400?

This purchase will be what I hope to use for mid level user..

Thats the scope i have Alan64...i lokkes into that same webcam but people say they are junk..but i don't know. I have found a Philips 900 series with ccd and one from Sony with ccd for around 30 bucks that people rave about..

What about an actual camera? Like they use for full blown astrophotos?

Thank you Sir..btw...does it hurt a telescope to have a camera hanging on it? Eventually I plan to get a dslr but dont know if it hurts it or distorts the view or anything like that...

Ok Il take your advice..i read the old  Phillips ccd cams are good...but cant find them..basically I dont want the weight from my cell on my telescope..can anyone reccomend a solution?

I appreciate the advice from eveyone ..i promise I'm not tryijng to get a McPherson out of a Chevy Malibu lol I know my scopes limitations...just trying to pull the best i can get with what I got.  And avoid wasting money..im not rich ..

There is a dude selling a celestron 7 x 21 here for $30.00...would that be too much for my scope? Its cheaper than 8 x 24 by alot ..and everyone says 8 x 24 is way to go..what do ya think?

So if it looks like the same piece...whether tele scope or accessory ..and the specs match..i.e. Multi coated lens...etc...is that a good indicator its the same product without the brand..and quality checks?

How do you guys find those deals of getting the same product much cheaper than the more expensive name brand?  How do you know its the same product? By comparing the specs?

Sorry Ed..yes I'm in the U.S....London Kentucky lol...the scope is definitely the one pictured on the right that Alan64 posted..Gskyler 70/400...with the super cheap mount.

I didnt realize this site is in the U.K....just liked it and joined lol

So I need a new sturdy tripod with the mount that has slow motion controls...if the rig includes alt-azmuth even better cause I will outgrow this telescope at some point ...and would like to be able to use it on the next telescope...I will check out your links Alan64...as soon as I get some coffee in me lol 

My first post on the site  was about which 90 degree star thing to get , which a nice feller answered but if anyone reading also knows the best compatable barlow for this scope...in the $50 and under range...please advise. I plan to upgrade to a zoom lens in the same price range..unless id be making a mistake by not going with a kit of lenses.

I'm not expecting too much out of this scope...just want all it has to give before buying another

Can someone with experience reccomend a 90 degree zenith mirror...or whatever its called...and a barlow lense for a gskyler az70400?  I'm very intersted in a celestron zoom but wanna make surr I get what works for this model....also dont wanna soend more than 50.00 for either. And will spend up to that but if there is the generic equivalent please share .  I have poured over every website I can find but I think experience from y'all is the way to go.....hoping for the best i can pull out of this model.
