  5. Can't decide Should I get a Celestron eyepiece set or Revelation set and a Meade 140 apo barlow? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Are my eyepices leting me down

Hi Warthog! There are no letters on the ep's and I got them on Ebay. The ep's are plastic on the top and metal on the bottom but feel less substantial than the Celestron. Cheers Kamperman

  8. Hi! Well was out on Thursday night looking at :jupiter: but it was quite blurry no matter what eyepiece I tried. I know that Jupiter is low at this time but I thought I would be able to see it a bit better I have a super 10,20,and barlow 2x of unknown make a Celestron 32 plossl which is the best of the bunch but when I use the barlow it's actually worse! Need some help on what to do Do I get the Celestron set for 139 pounds or spend it on 2 or 3 Meade 4000 or similar? I just don't know...

    Last night

Well first time out with the scope (8" newt). Looked South just above the roof tops and there it was :jupiter: unfortunately it didn't look as good as that! A lot of turbulence coming off the roofs and I think my cheap ebay eyepieces did not help! Going to have to get some decent secondhand eyepieces so what makes are worth considering that don't cost the Cheers
