  1. Dear All Please follow the link below for a brief review of my first and only telescope - the GSO Star Tracker, 8" Dobsonian - which I bought in 2016. While GSO may not sell everywhere, this is a very common specification across brands. http://ficustours.blogspot.com/2020/08/gso-star-tracker-my-minimalist-night.html Dark skies Ravi
  2. Hello all, This is my first post on here, but have been a hobbyist astrophotographer for a few years now. My very first experiences were of randomly pointing a mirrorless camera for star trails or time-lapse videos. As the interest developed, I started experimenting with fainter objects, using my DSLR/Mirrorless set-up, which I primarily use for wildlife (so no modified cameras or specialised filters) and a tracker (Astrotrac). For those interested in experimenting with this sort of set-up, you might be interested in reading up about my set-up, imaging and post-processing methods on here: http://ficustours.blogspot.com/2019/09/astrophotography-part-2-imaging-deep.html I am also attaching a selection of deep-sky images that I have managed with this set-up over the years, albeit from on the rare occasions where I could access dark skies and rarer still, when I could lug my equipment to point at starry skies. Dark skies, Ravi
