Well due to lack of stock I have decided to go with the flt 91. Order placed and picking up staurday. Its being optical tested tomorrow..
I have also ordered the William Optics FLAT6AIII 0.8x Reducer / Flattener Special edition for Fluorostar 91 but have to wait a couple of weeks for this.

So made my mind up on the Esprit 100 or FLT 91. My preference is the Skywatcher and waiting on word back from FLO on when they will be in stock. I'm ruling out the StelllaMira 90 as its an unknown, and TBH i want something proven that also has examples using the same Camera I have.
I could however get the FLT91 now. But im just not sure if its worth the extra. So will have to see what FLO say.

They are getting a very good reputation as a brand and although the 90mm was only released a month ago they have sold a lot of them so should be plenty of reviews before much longer.,
I could be tempted.

Is this your 2nd scope choice for AP? I suspect it is..
... don't worry, it gets easier once the collection is under way.. learn the mantra of "N+1" .. The sooner you get past this hurdle the easier it is to understand the angst of making the right decision is soothed by looking ahead at the next one to fill in the "gap" left by the current decision 🤣.
With regard focus motors.. out of all the ones I have (quite a few & aside from combined Moonlite focuser/motors.. superb!) the ones I've fitted to Esprits.. the Sesto Senso (not sure why FLO stopped doing them) is the easiest & neatest .. I have that on the 150 & it has manual override BTW.. but hey why would I need that! 😆
It will be for ap, so applying n+1 and then next year n+1 I can have both 🤣
The Sesto Senso seems to be a popular option.

Or why not the new StelllaMira 90?
I did consider stellamira, just not really sure how well they perform.

Another vote for the Esprit 80. Fantastic scope
I like the wider fov of the 80. Just looking into the starizona Apex ED 0.65x Reducer for the 100 and trying to find a review to give me the best of both worlds.
Another option is the WO flt 91, but it's really stretching the budget.

Thanks my intention stay nice an warm while the rig does it's thing 😃

I'd recommend the Primalucelabs Sesto Senso. I have one on my Esprit 80 and it's fantastic.
Looks nice, only nagging bit is no manual option, however I have no intention at this moment in time using this OTA for visual I may change my mind, there is the WiFi and mobile but don't really want to use a phone to focus.
That said I do like this looks a sturdy setup.

I am using DeepSkyDad AF3 autofocuser with Esprit 120 . Works perfectly with my relatively heavy rig (Reducer, 7 pos filterwheel and QHY268m camera.
Thanks just not sure I like the idea of a belt drive.

So I have spent ages looking into options and pushing budgets.
If I do go for a triplet I think I'm settled on the esprit 100. It does however force me to wait a couple more months for funds.
Just factoring in what extras I need. Its not going to be used for visual.
Obviously field flattener will be ordered at the same time and dealer will be Flo so it's checked and tuned.
I will be connecting my zwo 294mc -pro are any adapters required? Also what back focus would be required for this?
I need to mount my mini pc, what plate options for on top of the tube rings?
I would also add an electronic focuser, was considering a zwo, but are there any other options that are better?
Thanks

Thanks everyone will research the options provided.

So far I have been imaging with a C8 with reducer and ZWO ASI 294MC-PRO. Now I'm considering something with a smaller focal length and have been looking at APO's.
I plan to use the same camera and I have narrowed this down to the following.
Skywatcher esprit 80ED
William optics GT81 IV
By the time I add the cost for flatteners (wo gt81 is also a reducer) I'm looking at about the same price.
Any advise on which is better?
I know this has been asked a few years ago but the wo has been thought another revision.
Thanks

Is it worth me looking at the 12.5 next or a Barlow, if Barlow what would be good one to get?
-
So basically I know what I want, but I'm limited to just one. So going of Ricochet's comments it looks like I will go for 17.5.

Thanks I have the 17.5 Morpheus in my basket, just working up the nerve to click buy lol.
How would you guys rate the cheaper x-cels? Is it really that much difference in quality? Ok silly question but interested in opinions anyway.
-
Wow the Morpheus are expensive but the specs look good.
Food for thought. Thanks

Hi I'm a complete noob and spent weeks researching which has led me to the Nexstar 8SE.
So this comes with a single 25mm EP, which I guess is going to be a budget EP.
Unfortunately the scope has left little budget for EPs. And while I could by the celestron EP set these are not going to be a budget set so I would probably end up replacing them.
Considering the 8 inch scope has a focal length of 2032mm what would people recommend for good eye relief and fov.
I'm setting an initial budget of £200 but would prefer to buy good ep's, so if that means I'm limited to 1 or two initially what focal length would be recommend? I have been looking at the bst range as these have a good fov but also considered celestron x-cel and Omni.
I wear glasses but not sure if I will wear them until scope arrives next week.
Thanks

Well picked up the flt-91 at the weekend.
Hd to order a losmandy plate to sit the mini pc on, which is why the handle has been moved a little.
Zwo eaf fitting was quite straight forward. Problem is now I need another carry case as it no longer fitsbthe one it came in.
Final bit tomorrow is to set backfocus on the reducer and the test.
