Lovely image. Very nice detail along the left edge and in the dark feature.
Sorry for my ignorance, but I’m only just starting to get into dual band AP. Is that an HOO image with Ha red and OIII green and blue?
Thanks!. It's HOO in the sense that my filter only allows Ha and Oiii through so there is no Sii. But I use a script in Pixinsight which lets me play with the colour palette in real time and tweak till I'm happy. I'm not really happy with the background on this and am re-doing it, it's almost clipped, i.e pure black.

Struggled with this, pulling the dust I found quite difficult and still not massively pleased with it.

The image is already in an excellent shape! Will be interesting to see if 20 hours will make much of a difference.
Thanks, as long as I get good subs around new moon it should get the dust to pop more and tighten up the details.......maybe

This is going in the right direction! It's such a hard target to do.

Phenomenal, such detail. I had a clear night last night, never thought about this one
Thanks :), wanted to make a start before it disappears but looks like I'll get nowhere near my 20hr plan

Well I'm struggling with my jig. Cutting the hole with a hole saw leaves the surface ever so slightly uneven and means the camera wobbles. Not sure how to fix that and with it wobbling, it's impossible sort out the tilt. Any ideas? I've tried the camera on the surface before I cut it and it was completely flat.

Hmmm, again that’s a 5mw laser…
But you would think that as it’s in an Astro related item it should be ok….🤔🤔
Yeah that's my concern also. I've actually ordered a cat laser pen toy from amazon, should arrive today. Takes 2 x AAA but not sure how I can determine it's output power....

Oh yes didn't think about using a laser collimator. I've ordered one, it was only £4. Also ordered a kitchen unit for £30 that's 600x350, should work. Just need to 3D print the holders.

Yes ideally, I ordered 2 and when both came they were 5mw, and advertised as 1mw, but I did not dare try them, just returned and looked elsewhere on Amazon, but I can’t find my order to send you a link, it must have been on my sons account a year or 2 ago….

I got my laser pen from Amazon, but 1mw lasers seem harder to get now, and not sure I would trust a 5mw one…as it may damage the sensor…
Looked on Amazon but they don't seem to sell them anymore, I'll have to do some googling. 1mW Red Class 1?

Does anyone have a link to a suitable laser pen? I'd like to do this as my 2600MC Pro has bad tilt. I work next door to kitchen fitters so will get them to make me a small box and I'll 3D print a camera & laser holder. Anyone have a 2600 & laser STL I can use before I design my own?
Thanks

Well I've just reprocessed, different palette but I quite it, this is more HOO and the background is better (IMHO).
