I really hope the OGEM works out lets hope UK has its very own English Planewave Instruments style company starts off small then turns into a power house Astronomy company
remember Planewave Instruments was nothing in 2008 they had one EQ mount Ascension 200 and 20 CDK and many people wanting their money back.

OK lets get back to astronomy 😂

decent income, but, family first
hence, always skint - particularly since grandson arrived on the scene - SWMBO runs up at least £200pm on toys. Over 5 years........ that's my 10Micron
but, especially, these days - keeping him occupied so his mum can work is prime focus
I come from working class family and poverty but today my own family and mother and father and seven brothers and sisters are lower middle class in UK
we would be probably be middle class as Ireland is much wealthier that England by living standard

The mount you have to see it to believe it the adjustment knobs are so easy to turn yet very strong not like Ioptron pound shop quality where if you tighten them too much you know they could snap off
and you have to tighten them with allen key to keep alignment the gears i have it set to 10 arc second that's medium speed 😂 20 arc seconds is just insane and you can put 90-100 lbs of scope on
you would still get 35-45 mins unguided subs if well-balanced i still believe on ASA DDM85 is a match for 10 Micron as for all the rest it crushes all before it yet ASA DDM85 only slews at 13 arc second
this is why i just said no dont give in the MX+ is great but the 1100 GTO great but and once they know you have the money they are all hounding you with emails it was a strange feeling having that power 😂

Any engineering place could drill this out and thread it for you. Should cost very little. It doesn’t need to be an ‘astronomy shop’!
I know but their all closed no where is open

Yes drilling and tapping if you can if you can they gave no nuts with them they only gave me four M6 bolts with no nuts to tighten them
I need 8 holes drilled 4 holds the adapter onto the pier the other 4 hold the mount down.

As someone who just got my final dream mount that i used to dream about having the 10 Micron GM2000 HPS II this week i want to see this OGEM mount be a massive
success if this is really the final mount it looks very nice just like the MESU mount

He is a advertiser, he plugs all the equipment he is given in exchange for sponsorship money or for keeping the equipment. As such I would take everything he says with a very large pinch of salt.
And the other two little guys are they advertisers too one with 646 subscribers and the other with 4.55K subscribers and the thousands of others
DSLR are a thing of the past in Astronomy no matter how much they try to spice it up im not saying you cant take nice images with them but they
are much harder to get that image for me and many many others colour mottle and noise is just too much to bair ''He is a advertiser'' what about now 😂

- This is a test of the combination of my Atik460 CCD to see how it works with my ED70 refractor with extreme 0.6 focal reducer, ive used this reducer with my old smaller CCD with good results, but was expecting some coma on the corner stars with the larger sensor, but after some selective star shrinking in the corners it doesn't really notice. 8 X 10 mins in Ha with the Altair Starwave 70ED + Lightwave 0.6 reducer giving a very fast F3.6 at 250mm Focal Length in combination with my Atik460CCD. This image contains The Bubble Nebula, M52 Open Cluster, The Lobster Claw Nebula and the small bright nebula at bottom right is NGC7538. Overall im pretty happy with this setup, though I cant help wish I could use my other larger 383CCD to get a bit wider still. May need to make another purchase :-p. Lee
Ah i think it worked well 😂

Is your ASI294 a Pro aka cooled CCD you have hot pixels

Honestly don't think that the 294 ended the use of DSLRs in astro-photography. You can pick up a used DSLR and modify it for well under 200 pounds that is significantly cheaper than a 294.
Trevor never went back he only uses DSLR with travel scopes or when he go,s on holiday

Of course its cheaper but are the images better everyone knows the answer NO on every astronomy forum on facebook ASI Altair Astro etc pages all you see is people
showing their new off their new ASI183MC-Pro or ASI533MC-Pro or ASI294MC-Pro all are coming from DSLR cameras like down below all said they wont go back after
seeing the difference.
