An update to the situation with the mount - went through several prototypes for the belts and pulleys and found a DIY solution to fit quite nicely - a T5 belt for Dec (with 4.4:1 pulley teeth ratio) and a T2,5 belt for R.A. (with 3:1 pulley teeth ratio) 

My methods of drilling the holes in the pulleys were so cheapskate that I am surely on some sort of a blacklist of engineers. XD

Went out to do some field testing and got it working. Although with a DIY solution I've found it difficult to set up - polar alignment and platesolving to be exact.

Polar aligning has been the most difficult as I do not have a polarscope. Are there any other solutions to polar aligning?

And during the set-up I don't know which to do first - sync the mount or polar align?

At the time I am waiting for a shaft connector to arrive so I will only be able to test the motors without being connected to the mount.

I have done everything like in the tutorial, but it does not show up on the Cartes du Ciel.

Also I did not know what to do with the GND (Shield) wire on the DB-9 connector. Maybe that is the cause of all problems.

I've now gotten to the step where I connect the EqDrive to my computer, but I'm having trouble setting it up with ascom as it's not recognising the Eqdrive as a mount.

I've followed all the steps but it still didn't work. Any ideas on how to get it going?

Yes I have and on the select scope drop down menu it does not show my eqdrive

I've set up my Nema 17 motors with my EqDrive Unitrack and woth the configuration tool it seems to work fine - motors are moving as they should and such.

But when I try to use it in Cartes du Ciel, upon trying to select a scope, the eqdrive does not show up.

I've tried going through "first steps" several times, but it doesn't seem to work.

I'd appreciate if someone could help me get on the right tracks.

Truly, thank you for the information and help!

On the datasheet it says that the EQDrive unitrack supports gear ratios 1:1 to 1:2000 and slew speeds up to 10 degrees per second.

I have not yet purchased the motors, but I am planning on buying 400 step motors for more precision.

I have finally settled on using NEMA 17 motors. I did some research in my free time, but did not come to a clear understanding on the pulley/belt system that would fit my needs the best. 

What belt/pulley system do you have on your EQ3-2 mount?

Thank you very much! I have tried setting up AstroEQ but the one I had ordered was a bit out-dated and one of the stepper motor drivers blew up. XD

I will definetly look into the options I have for the stepper motors!

I am currently setting up my EQDrive unitrack with my EQ 3-2 mount and upon opening the EQDrive config, I press read and stare into the abyss as I realize that I know nothing about the motor parameters and gear ratios. 

I'd be greatly thankful if somebody could put me on the right track.
