Certainly worth a lot more than they were a year and a half ago. Check the classifieds for your region to get some idea of what others have been asking. Here in the US, it's been about 85% of 2019 MSRP lately for desirable items.
Thanks for that, I will have a look.

Incredible detail, thanks for sharing!

Not sure if I am on the correct page or not, please point me in the right direction if not and accept my apologies. I am looking at selling my three telescopes and consolidating to one. I have a Zenithstar 80 II ED APO telescope, a Skywatcher 150P and a Skywatcher Mak 102. All are pretty much in pristine condition but have no clue as to what they are worth and I cannot remember what I paid for them when I bought them. The Mak 102 his used most, the others have not been out for a few years. Hoping for a bit of advice as to how much they are worth and would welcome any input.
Thanking you in advance.

A lot of wonderful images here, so itching to get something more than a very quick session where the scope doesn't get a cool down and I am out and in within the hour!

My first images with my EQ3 pro. with my new Equinox 80ED Pro, Modified Canon 1200d and CLS filter.
Polar aligned but unguided.
Poor seeing last night caused a very poor S-N ratio but got some data anyway.
First M31&co 28x120s with flats and bias. Second, Horsehead and Flame nebula, 40x90s with flats and bias.
DSS & StarTools.
I'm quite pleased considering the poor conditions with mist in the air. I have had to do a large amount of noise reduction, but the stars are the best I have had. No spikes and sharp.
A promising start.
Cheers
Nige.
Superb Images, can't wait to get going with some imaging on my EQ3/2

Very interesting Bobro, I need to get up to speed with the kit I have, then the Raspberry Pi option looks like it could be worth a go, a good bit of additional outlay though with the guidescope, Raspberry Pi etc.
Thanks for point this thread out though, good work!

Steve,
you might not be able to focus a dslr at prime focus on the 150p without making modifications to the telescope.
You need a canon t ring which will able you to connect the camera direct to the scope ( prime focus ) available at FLO.
I had to modify my focuser to allow 25mm more inward travel to be able to focus.
Nige
Nige,
I Have a T-ring and have focussed it on the moon before, I know DS objects are much further away but don't want to be hacking at my scope! Would it be better to try my WO refractor instead?

Ugh!...
TGVdenoise is annoying me. I have been reading Pixinsights tutorial on it but it really does not seem to bet getting me anywhere. I seem to have the general idea that the edge protection is the most vital, however, I always seem to get blurry, out of focus images when I move either the strength or edge protection drastically high/low. Otherwise, nothing really changes in the image (or does it?!). Thanks.
A good thing to do is to check your FOV on this - http://www.skyatnightmagazine.com/field-view-calculator
I found it useful when choosing a telescope
BTW, I did a quick ABE on this.
Thanks, I have had a look and it may help me decide what to try. Excuse my ignorance but what is ABE?

This is a cracking image. I too have a 150P and an EQ3 and would love to be able to get decent images. I have a Canon 30D so can you tell me how you mounted your camera and what if anything between the camera and the scope. I don't think I would get as big an image with my 30D. I would be grateful if you could tell me how you got such a beautiful image.
Thanking you in anticipation!

After reading your tutorial, I am now itching to give this a go> I went outside about 45 minutes ago and thought, right now is the time but by the time I got the camera and tripod the clouds had rolled in "curses, foiled again!!!".
Is it necessary to have the lens at 18mm though? Or could it be zoomed in a bit?
Cheers
Steve

You can see my existing kit list on my signature below and all are great scopes but my Explorer 150P and EQ3-2 mount are getting too heavy for me to lug up and downstairs and that is the mount that I use for the WO Zenithstar. Looking to sell my three scopes and to buy one general purpose scope with a goto mount, suitable for planetary/lunar imaging. Open to any advice on what to go for, but thought about the Celestron Nexstar SE 6 or similar.
Thanks in advance
