I was not sure myself, i presumed it was debris trailing backwards along the comet's orbit. I hadn't read about the sunlight radiation pressure. I can't verify if the info is correct 🤔, as with a lot of info we are fed via media and take for granted...☄️

Basic answer
Sunlight exerts radiation pressure on the dust tail. It seems to align back towards the comet's curved orbit.

Not sure if this has already been posted on the forum.
Bright bolide fireball over Spain, actually thought this was CGI for a moment when I saw the clip with the girl in.

Was all the filming done on the same night as the Aurora ? Or did you plan ahead and take some driving shots days before?
At 5.15 minutes in your video the Aurora is already starting to show.
I remember seeing the scope array in the distance about 20 years ago and wondered what it was , while driving to Barrington. Didn't know I'd see the array again in your vlogs, I'd forgotten about it.

Thanks so much - appreciated.
So welcome to the glorious faff of making these videos. I parked, set up the normal video camera, launched the drone, set up the shot, drove out of shot, turned round, drove back, recovered the drone.
Sounds a bit ridiculous when I say it all!
I thought he's not driving and flying the drone at the same time 🙃
That's a lot of work for those vlogs no doubt. After all that preparation, at least the Aurora made it worthwhile.

Excellent
The opening shot- did you launch the drone, then drive a bit stop, and then land the drone? 🤔

We may get one at nearly anytime as we’re riding to solar max and the spots can throw out strong CME that cave aurorae. The last show was a once o. Several decade event, so I’m not expecting a repeat any time soon.., but who knows, keep your eyes open in case.

What are the chances of clear skies if we get a G4 storm?. The way the weather was favourable, and the G5 storm occured on 10th May together is rare. Id say this September to May next there year could be another G3/G4 storm.

Here in Northumberland we're lucky enough to live under dark skies (sqm-l 21.4). We saw naked eye pinks and greens, the best I've ever seen in the UK. Here's a 'real time' video I took, a local Sedge Warbler was nice company to have for such an event !

A local Facebook group reported gridlock and queues of cars and and frustrated people trying to get in and out of a local hilltop site where everyone had the same idea to try and catch the aurora on Saturday night after the news of the previous night.
I took this photo at about 23.15 from home on Saturday night and I wonder it thats still some faint activity?
I read on another forum there were cars lined up on Dartmoor, some with there headlights on, and people using the flash on their phones
There was some activity around 23.00 yes that's Aurora.
This is what Spaceweather are saying for tonight/tomorrow. There's going to be a lot more cloud compared to Friday.

On Space weather another CME could arrive Monday.
I Think the display in the 80s was slightly better I remember more red curtains changing shape, but that maybe because there was probably less light pollution then.

Can't believe the weather actually let us view this. Next chance seems Monday, but probably cloudy. Best display I've seen since the 80s

What did you see tonight?

Most likely a sporadic meteor.
