A Shot in the Dark! Still redoing my TAL 2M Mount & wonder how to remove that Big upper Bearing on DEC Shaft? Not much room. Should I try a Dremel cutoff wheel?

Hi AndyH. I'm the amateur in US that redid a TAL2m Motor Bearing. Regarding shims for the DEC/RA axis issues, what size were the shims(IO/OD)? Did you Put a wheel/motorize the Dec axis? You posted Nov.2013. I also have a Vixen SP mount to motorize, but think the TAL could handle a heavier scope. What are your opinions?  Stay safe!  Nick
