Adding my version of red after the beige version, tricky one to get some sharpness in, would be interersting to know how much
of that dust that are actually towards us as you can see a rather long area of faint dust around the center.

Yes I was, but as that did not work out for me I started mixing and found that I actually liked this beige colour.
I got one too red version left to play with but at this stage it looks like it has lost a lot of details that is in the beige version, time will tell.

NGC 1333 is a lovely target and you got it very nice and not to hard edited with the colors.
 Btw I tested your advise with dithering on my last image and the stripes are gone, so thanks again.

I could also live with a picture like that, thats is a beautiful image.

Caught this a couple of nights ago, there is not much Oiii to speak of here, at least I could not find it, so I tried another mix

This i did not know and I have been looking for the power settings but failed to find any as there was none on my computer (have now seen on Internet what you means).
Instead I found those that shuts down the USB power to save power by default or whatever MS meant they should work
I have disabled them, actually I did this first before copying the old PHD2 folder and it did not help, sorry to say.

You will need to update USB \ Ports connections etc. but it should give a reasonable start point.

I decided to copy the entire PHD2 folder from the old computer and it actually seems to have solved the problem.
I have unistalled and reinstalled a couple of different PHD2 during my atempts but no. Dont know what it was maybe win 10 blocked some file during installation
or just some corrupt installtion files?

Hi all

I just bought me a new computer as I was getting more and more problems with my old one.

I got into problems when starting to use PHD2. I have a Loadstar Starlight express X2 as a guidecamera.
When I connects the camera in PHD2 all works as it is supposed to, camera i set as connected and all seems fine, but when I start to loop PHD2 the camera connections is lost, every time I tries this happens.

I have downloaded the latest drivers to the camera and also the latest PHD2

The computer is an HP 250 G7 Win10x64.
I have updated to the latest BIOS and Intel chipset drivers and all other drivers as well from HP.

Guidecamera does have its own USB port on the new computer, there is nothing wrong with the cables or the camera as they works as they should when I starts up the old computer again, no problem there when looping.

Any clues what this might be or what I could try?

For my eyes that is a lovely image :)

Done some darkflats and flats and tested a new stacked image, but the striping is still there. No i didn't do any dithering will do next time. Hopefully there is the problem.

I did test the Canon banding script (have been using it now and then with my DSLR Canon 700D, not often though, was worse with my former Canon 750D)
I tested it but I don't think it helped anything. I should have been more clear when meantioning this stripes, they are not horizontal.
I stretched the OIII pic only as the problem was most visible on that one to show what I mean.
Will take some darks and flats and hopefully the problems vanishes or at least becomes less visible.

Ok no I did not know this, this could very well be the answer. I will get the darks tonight when there is no disturbing daylight around, then I have to learn how to do Dark flats I guess they are called :)

Yes it is huge, if I turned the camera 45 degree (Fish head right bottom) maybe all of the heart would have been in the picture.

Had a little problem with striped background on this one and found it was mainy present on the stacked OIII pic, nothing on HA and just a little on SII if stripes at all, maybe it was a coincidence.
I will get some darks and add them on the OIII just to see if I can get rid of the stripes. I will certainy check if same thing happens next time I gets a chance to take some pictures.

Couple of weeks ago I got the chance to test my new camera ZWO ASI 1600M pro. So the learning started again as I never had used a mono camera or this type of camera before only DSLR, tricky as everything with this hobby when you starts with something new, but so fun when the work pays off.
At first I was going to get a color CMOS or CCD camera due the weather here but after many comparisons on the net I changed my mind and got a mono instead.

All pictures is with binx2 and 300s. HA x30, OIII x28, SII x20. No darks, flats or bias used.
Taken with Astro Photography tool, Stacked in DSS and processed in Pixinsight.
