  1. For me the old vintage Cave newts are for me my favorite scope to lust after. This completely restored 10in Cave came up on astromart a week ago. These scope just look so good 'they spell class. I have a 15in Obsession in my observatory but If I had the  room I would love to add this/ Its just to far away to pick up' like 2000 miles.  When I  think telescopes I think of this style.  Cant beleive it has not sold yet.

  2. Mars sucks right now. Never judge your scope by it. Collimating is quite easy. get a good laser.  Use a star to see how your optics are doing. Nice pin point stars is what I like. Plus you have a Celestron 6se'  their not going to be Takahashi perfect optics but should be decent enough  to have fun and see much.

  3. Some pics of my new to me Obsession 15in classic. My observatory  was used for imaging for 13 years' but now I am back to my first love just visual. So relaxing. I never though I would own a Obsession again; had one 15 years ago but sold it to finace Imaging.   Now 15 years later one came up for sale close to me in Indiana US.   So its a dream come true.  Will post some more pics later. Had to raise the floor. Thanks all

  4. Well I got a great deal on a SV 102mm Doublet  so I been trying it out. It came with a nice FT focuser. Has very nice optics as most SV do.  About the only thing it does not do well is very bright stars' but most doublets  have a hard time with this imaging wise. Visually it's fine. My guiding has not been working do to some cable issues.  So this is just 27 x 60"  with a Mod Nikon d5300.  Not my best m3 but not bad.  Thanks for looking. Bob

  5. Been playing around with 3D in PS since Face Book supports 3D now. One has to have 2 images. I used my original Horse Head from this past fall for the original. In PS make a copy of it and it has to be monochrome or gray scale' than use filters ect to scrub some of the detail.  This takes some practice to get the desired effect.  The  gray image will be the Depth image. Then add the original image.jpg and image__depth.jpg to photo on FB. FB will take both and create the 3D version. Its fun to mess with.  Here is a link to my Horse Head on my Local Astro group.  Thanks bob
