  1. Hi guys, Thanks for all your replies some great info to answer a question im ooking for some eyepieces with more focus and magnification and also maybe some with a wider field of view
  2. Hi guys, Im currently using a Sky Watcher Star Discovery 150P, Ive had it for around 7 months now using only the eyepieces that came with it which are a 10mm, 25mm and 1.25" 2x barlow. Ive had some great nights with these viewing the Moon and various stars but now im looking to expand what eyepieces I have in order to get more out of my viewing experiences. Basically im looking for recommendations as im still very much a beginner, any help will be most appreciated. Thanks Everyone!
  3. Hi everyone, finally got the chance to get the telescope out lastnight, started from the top as usual long, lat, time, date etc and selected brightest star allignment as opposed to 2 star which i usually use. Thank god this time it worked, im sure it was most likely human error when it wasnt working last time. Thanks for all your replies and suggestions much appreciated!
  4. Hi guys thanks for the feedback, I'll try some of these things out and get back to you on whether its working, unfortunately it wont be till Wed,Thur now night shifts ?
  5. Hi everyone, Im currently having some issues with my goto mount, Im going through all the correct procedures and choosing 2 star Align for the allignment process, starting with Vega as its the easiest and brightest star for me to see at the moment. When it comes to the second part, the mount aligning itself with the second star ( I have been choosing Alkaid) the mount slews off in the compmetely oppossite direction. I have tried this with a few different stars and always have the same results. Any thoughts please guys maybe im doing something wrong. Thanks for your help!
  6. Thanks for the help everyone i have just ordered and am very excited for it to arrive, i'll be sure to ask any questions i have when i get the scope thanks again!
  7. Is First Light Optics where you guys would recommend i purchase this telescope? I have seen it elsewhere for around the same price other places have it prices significantly higher like this one http://www.telescopeplanet.co.uk/skywatcher-star-discovery-150p-goto-telescope
  8. I was going to buy the one of the First Light Optics website which says it is an Alt-Azimuth Go-To

  12. Those are some amazing images taken with that telescope, could i ask for your opinion on these two telescopes and how they stand up to the one you recommend if possible http://www.telescopeplanet.co.uk/celestron-nexstar-130slt http://www.telescopeplanet.co.uk/celestron-nexstar-127-slt
  13. Hi everyone, Nice to meet you all this is my first time posting here, im currently looking into buying my first telescope but i am having a lot of trouble choosing which one to buy. Ive veiwed many makes and models such as Celestrons,Orions etc but just cannot choose, as i am a complete beginner i dont really know what to look for and everytime i think i have found a good telescope i delve into reviews from around the web to find they may not be so good. I was wondering if anyone on here could help me out with this please maybe some suggestions? I'm hoping to find a good quality telescope for planetary veiwing and veiwing celestial bodies and also maybe some astrophotography, my budget is around the £400 mark any help will be most appreciated thank you!
