  1. Hi mate, I have just been looking at your comments for the skytravel 120mm and would like to no, if you did get the 2inch EP and the 2inch diagonal. I am about to purchase a new ST 120mm and could use all the advice I can muster.

Well I am not to impressed, the moon looks like I am lookin through a cheap pair of binoculars, not very good at all. It looks like I wont be getting the ST 120mm. the moon looks very small, I cant see anything like any detail. Have I done some thing wrong. I put all the right info in , it auto detects focal length and such, and with the Celestron 6 or 7mm x-cel lx eyepiece it looks rubbish. I am glad you pointed me to this tool. I am very disappointed at a telescope with that lens and getting near the £400 mark giving that kind of image. Thanks for sharing it with me

Hi again. Your pics look amazing and on that scope to, very impresive I live in a village called old dalby near Melton Mowbray. I have made up my mind and going with what I feel is right for me. I am going to buy the ST 120mm on the AZ3 mount and with that I am buying a Celestron X-CEL LX 2x Barlow Lens 1.25. And a  Celestron 6 or 7mm x-cel lx eyepiece 1.25". And a SkyWatcher Variable Polarising Filter 1.25. I might replace the 25mm eyepiece also with a better quality one to. What do you think about this. Your advice will be much appreciated.

Thanks for getting back to me. as you can see from the main thread I started about the ST 120mm, there seem to be people rubbishing the ST. All I want the scope for is terrestrial use and to see good views of the moon (the creators) and to get out further if possible. As you have or had one of these can you say if this scope is not worth getting for what I want with adding a better quality eye piece. If a good quality eye piece would help could you advise on which one. I just need somebody to say either yes Dave this scope would get you up close with the moon or say its rubbish don't bother, get something else

                                       Regards. Dave
