Are you using Affinity Photo 2? I got it recently and it does have a lot of good JR macros available, that AP1 does not have. Regards

Yes, Affinit Photo. But I need a lot more practice procesing images is the one area I neeed to work on.

  2. One of my first deep sky images taken with a dedicated astro camera, the wonderful ZWO ASI5333MC PRO.

My processing has a lot of issues and is probably the hardest part of any image. I think a big improvement would be using star removal and procesing the nebula and stars seperately.

But well happy  with this result just need more clear weather to gather mere data.

Evostar ED80, 0.85 reducer, ASI 533 MC PRO. HEQ5 PRO

85 x 60sec, no calibration frames, no guiding. Stacked and processed in Affinity Photo.

    Please feel free to comment.

    Thanks.

  3. As a newbie is there a particular order to the imaging train. my equipment is C9.25, Televue x2 barlow, zwo manual filter wheel (only using a Astonomic Proplanet 642 IR pas filter) ZWO ADC and a ZWO ASI 120MC-S camera. Im soon to upgrade to a 224 MC-S camera.

IS the correct order barlow, ADC, Filter wheel, Camera?

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thanks

  4. Can someone give a quick rundown on how to record a PEC curve? I'm unsure if you just run the worm drive and record or do you need to image an object? If so what program do you use image and record the PEC error. Its all new to me and just noticed the PEC recording in EQMOD.

  5. This is my progress on my first Observatory. I am making it up as  go along. It  will be 12" x 8", including a small warm room. It will ahve a rolloff roof the first photo is a smaller design which has since grown a little. Hopefully I would like it water tight by the end of Oct? Time will tell how good it turns out!

  6. I am looking to improve my lunar photos and was wondering if a Bader IR pass filter 685nm would help me? I use a skywatcher 200p with a ZWO ASI 120 MC camera and a Telvue x2 barlow. All on a HEQ5pro mount.  In the future Im looking to upgrade to a Celestron 9.25 and a ZWO 290mm Mono camera for lunar work.

    Thanks fopr any advice.
