  1. Yes, Affinit Photo. But I need a lot more practice procesing images is the one area I neeed to work on.
  2. One of my first deep sky images taken with a dedicated astro camera, the wonderful ZWO ASI5333MC PRO. My processing has a lot of issues and is probably the hardest part of any image. I think a big improvement would be using star removal and procesing the nebula and stars seperately. But well happy with this result just need more clear weather to gather mere data. Evostar ED80, 0.85 reducer, ASI 533 MC PRO. HEQ5 PRO 85 x 60sec, no calibration frames, no guiding. Stacked and processed in Affinity Photo. Please feel free to comment. Thanks.
  3. The only thing I have moved is the Faststar as I had to take it out when changing to Bob's knobs. My issue is finding a professional service provider, I'm happy to pay if it gets the OTA back to as new alignment and collimation.
  4. I need my C9.25 XLT serviced, the ota needs a factory realignment of optical system and a collimation. Is there any dealerships or individuals which can do such work.
  5. Can anyone recommend someone to clean a corrector plate and collimate a SCT C9.25. Any recommendations would be welcome as I'm struggling to find someone who could help. Thanks for any info.
  6. This was taken with a x2 barlow so its a a reasonably high power . I was a bit shocked at all the dust on my barlow so a bit of a clean needed.
  7. This is a stack of 100 frames of an out of focus star with my C9.25 SCT. Seeing was poor and my star was almost near the zenith. I have been trying to get a handle on my collimation any comments would be appreciated.
  8. As a newbie is there a particular order to the imaging train. my equipment is C9.25, Televue x2 barlow, zwo manual filter wheel (only using a Astonomic Proplanet 642 IR pas filter) ZWO ADC and a ZWO ASI 120MC-S camera. Im soon to upgrade to a 224 MC-S camera. IS the correct order barlow, ADC, Filter wheel, Camera? Any help would be appreciated Thanks
  9. Thanks very much, its was just something new to me and wasn't sure how to go about it. Thanks.
  10. Can someone give a quick rundown on how to record a PEC curve? I'm unsure if you just run the worm drive and record or do you need to image an object? If so what program do you use image and record the PEC error. Its all new to me and just noticed the PEC recording in EQMOD.
  11. Thanks, collimation shifting was the reason I was not going to trust a courier but I understand that even my careful driving would probably require a fine adjustment when home.
  12. I have a C9.25 which is due a little DLC mainly external dust and a check of the collimation. Can anyone recommend someone, I would prefer to deliver and pick up in person but living in Mid Wales is probably going to entail a long drive. Thanks for any help.
  13. Hi, I have a C9.25 XLT and I'm looking for a company to service it . Its mainly dust and collimation, the mirror wont need recoating. Any suggestions would be appreciated as i was going to use Orion Optics UK but have seen some poor reviews. Thanks for any help.
  14. Thanks, its one of my better images. The C9.25 is a big step in size and quality and it shows in the images.
