    Thanks, I missed this message and I had an email from Skywatcher support today with that link to v1.19.10 on their site, which seems to be working for me.

    They mentioned that "due to  technical issue, we cannot release updates on Google Play. Users with Pixel 2,  Pixel 3 report the latest update can work with Android 11. But some user with Pixel 4 reported not working"

    I'll give it a test drive later

  2. Hi

    Has anyone else had problems / success getting the Synscan Pro app working after upgrading to Android 11? I'm using a Pixel 2 and since getting the OS update the app just shows the logo and then disappears.

    Is it possible to connect Sky Safari directly to the Synscan WiFi without the Synscan app? No connection setting combinations I have tried work...

  3. I can imagine how deflated you must be... On the positive side, as the first scope was damaged instead of getting a glowing review, it's helpful for prospective buyers to see that the second scope suggested quality control has issues. Maybe this is revealing why the price is so eye opening!

    Although I'll never own anything like this, thanks for your inspiring reviews ?
