Nice work phase clearly showing, maybe a little overexposed?
Hi Craig. Had a go with Venus last night. Used 120x with 2x Barlow.
Set it up with a smartphone adaptor and reduced the ISO to 50 and kept messing about with the shutter. At about 1/100 the brightness was taken away leaving a dull image which seemed to show the planet best. Is there anything else I can do to try and pick it up better?

Nice image. I need some tips on Venus- my first attempt last night was awful.

This is definitely going to be my first scope.. I'm tempted to buy it from Jessops (currently priced £265) but am trying to be patient as I might find a decent used one on ebay for much less and then I can use the savings made on better EPs for it. If I dont find anything by Mid October then I will pay Jessops a visit
Keep an eye on http://www.astroboot.co.uk/AstroBoot too. I got mine nearly new for well under £200.

Thanks for this excellent thread Adz, I took delivery of my Skyliner 200p earlier this week and this thread showed me exactly what to expect when it was delivered.
Have used it three times before the clouds rolled in today and absolutely love it.
What did you see?

Exactly what I have done. Took some video files- converted to AVI. Unfortunately autostakkert looks ridiculously complicated once I opened it up. Will have to learn how to do it.
