  1. That's what Bern told me to do remove the cork pads. Not that i have done it though. He hasn't/didn't offer me a refund how did you twist his arm for that? . I'm not impressed with this bit of kit & think its a £70 loss, Makes it a expensive ashtray really Roger
  2. Thanks Jason, After some more testing yesterday i had a look at the workings on this & found that one of the cork pads was not glued down like the other two making the mirror move. roger
  3. EDIT to last post as wrong quote button pressed Did you get a respnce from MA ? I called him regarding that I'm not sure if it's working as i can only see a couple of reflections, ( could be my eyes but i doubt it) He did say that he was getting onto farpoint for a release in instructions on How To us it. whilst i'm here is this best when the scope is pointing into the sky during the day ? Does the primary have to be spotless coz mine isn't, It's not filthy dirty but it isn't spotless. Roger

  5. I got what dan did, Just a piece of paper saying " Successful use of this device requires the instrument to be adjusted has been previously aligned with basic collimation tools such as a laser or sight tube and a cheshire. This tool is for the final precision alignment adjustment step". That's it it doesn't tell you a procedure on "how to" Roger
  6. Yes i collimated with my laser first, then i inserted the AC and adjusted the secondary to bring the doughnuts together. When i re inserted my laser it wasn't pointing in the doughnut, was quite a bit off touching the outer of the circle.. I don't think that my center circle on the primary would be that far out..... dion says you should go back and forth from AC to LC using the LC to adjust the primary. but his comments are conflicting... Roger
  7. I also recieved mine yesterday, I tried to follow Dions example on astronomyshed but as he said align the secondary so the marks line up then go back to either a cheshire or lazer. Well when put the lazer back in it wasn't pointing at the centre circle on the primary. I asked Dion if i have to ignore this & just align the laser back to central IE on the laser collimator it self his reply was "Not quite, you also have to be able to see the black spot right in the center which is the reflection of the hole in the autocolli you are looking in". I can't have the AC and the LC in at the same time. I'm gobsmacked that this piece of kit doesn't come with instructions..... Good quality and build but real poor for anyone that hasn't used one of these before ( Like me ) roger
  8. I had a little crack at it aswell, Only used levels & curves moving a little at a time & Grad x Lee you do need flats & Bias frames Roger
  9. Well last nice went from GOOD to Misty, So between good and misty i managed to collect 3hrs at NGC 7822. Sods law though i soon packed up after 20mins of mist & it cleared 20 mins later & i just couldn't be bothered to go back out. 15 min subs with the Canon and 12nm Clip ISO 800. W/O Zs70 Roger
  10. Hi Steve, The Dslr is connected straight to the FFR. Iv'e heard about spacing but not done anything about it. Mr King never mentioned anything when purchased. I wouldn't even know where the spacers go to be honest. Roger
  11. I'm easy, I like driving, lol. Just as long as i'm not at work on the day Roger
