      I still need some thicker gloves, touching the metal on the scope when its cold certainly doesn't help!

      Indeed, very warm clothes are a must on cold nights, it soon gets very cold.

      That's where the night sky comes into its own, you can't beat a real dark sky!

      Don't worry, after a few good sessions with the scope you'll be finding things easily! (Well, anything that isn't drowned in the light pollution round here!)
