Sorry to jump in here.
I just received an autofocuser from FLO (amazing service, ordered wednesday night).
I obviously haven't fitted it yet, but my thumb/fingers are already hating the knob on the handset to adjust speed. Has anyone changed it for a thumb screw or bigger knob? Is this possible?

P.s These instructions are ridiculous haha

If it is a 200p dob make sure you havent got the 2 inch adapter screwed in as well. Just the bit the eyepiece goes into, screwed directly into the focuser.

What scope is it?

Hello,
My first telescope is a 200p on a heq5 (standard one) and I have only imaged Jupiter and the moon so far.
Im afraid all of my images are black and white, but you can see what I have achieved with a 200p and only the stock 2x barlow it came with. Along with a £30 camera.
I thought I'd just give you a random array of what I've managed after about 4 months with the telescope.

Surprised I only just read this but what a fantastic post James !
My only comment would be that when stacking DSLR images, it often produces a white outline around the moon. This used to wind me up.
I learnt (from someone else on twitter) that before aligning, if you click on 'show advanced controls', then uncheck 'predict track'...there will be no bright white outline!
I suppose you can also use the deringing tool in wavelets.
Not quite sure what effect 'predict track' has but with centred and cropped images from PIPP it has prevented the white outline, for me at least.
Just my 2 cents
