I've had my heq5 and skywatcher 200 for a few years now and have never owned a synscan, I've got the basic handheld manual controller but was thinking it would be nice to be able to track and use my camera, My question is, who owns one, is it worth the money and does anyone know of anyone selling one?? I've taken a week off work to head up to Kielder and Scotland for the meteor shower next week hoping to get some good shots with my dslr, I'm going Glencoe, Loch Ness then down to Perthshire, and finally kielder. can anyone suggest any good spots to do stargazing in Scotland? Looks like there's gonna be a few clear nights coming up, unfortunately I can't really get out in the week as I have to much to do so limited to weekends :-( thanks for sharing that mac app too!
  11. Fingers crossed for a clear sky later tonight. My phone says it will be clear around 11 :-) anyone else gonna give it ago later? Any suggestions on what I can look at later in the southern sky? I've never seen a galaxy before so that would be cool :-D

  13. I have a t mount for the 400d btw, I just haven't had enough clear nights to really pratice with it. It's nice to have options and hear other people's ideas and views though :-D these clouds must surely clear soon!!! Been ages since a good clear night! :-(
  14. its quite a good idea i guess blazar, looks good to me and i was quite impressed with the ipod holder zak, made me laugh. i need to get myself something sorted out soon as the electrical tape that i used last time to hold my digital camera was quite fiddley. I have been looking into the CCD option and i think i'm swaying towards that. i saw some really impressive shots people have posted using the webcam. Thanks guys
