Just looking into this myself (though for different camera options). The SX filter wheel is 37mm so not sure this is going to work. Best I can find as an alternative so far is an EF to M48 adapter (10mm), then the Askar 5-in-1 filter drawer (18mm), then onto your camera. Back focus on the SX 825 seems to be 17mm +/-1mm so depending on your filter thickness you may be ok (EF lenses need 44mm backfocus so 3mm filter would get you bang on 44mm).

Cheers mate thanks for great advice it’s going to be either WO zenith star 61 / 11 APO or red cat I can’t afford a big chip camera or full frame mono I’m afraid, would love one to go with my WO FLT 110 then it’s the 2 inch filters also more money
-
Great reply . I think on pixel size alone I should look at a alternative scope or camera .
thanks for the help

After a little advice I’m wanting to purchase a red cat apo for a wider FOV I will be using a sx825 mono with filter wheel . I was thinking of using my main scope as the guide scope WO FLT 110 with a lodestar x2 .
so will the red cat be fine with the camera will I need any extension tubes .
also will the main scope work as a guide scope
im just trying to get away with spending 2k + on a full frame or much larger chip than I have now and just change imaging scope that way I have best of both worlds, and I can swap between the red cat as a guider when I’m using main scope to image .
Or would a WO zenith star 61 / 11 APO be best suited.
any advice would be great cheers

The Calibrations you tried on the 19th with EQMOD were all completed, showing that PHD2 was able to guide the mount in all directions 😆 !!
But there were no attempts to actually guide after the Calibrations ?
Calibrations took over 40 steps, it should only take 10 to 15 steps per axis.
So you should check that your PHD2 setup figures for FL and pixel size are correct, or try doubling the Calibration step in Advanced Setup / Guiding.
And is "Enable Mount Guide Output" ticked in that same window ?
With ASCOM and EQMOD, Calibrate at Dec 0, and use that Cal for the rest of the night, PHD2 will compensate for the actual Dec of your target.
Michael
Here is a fault I don’t understand
-
Yes Micheal it did move the mount in all directions on the 19th but at the end of the calibration it said failed due to previous fault 🤷♂️
I don’t know will do as you have instructed in setting try again and will up date will also take more screen shots when error codes come up -

Will the mount move in RA at all ? Will it track without guiding ? As a last resort maybe try factory defaults / reset ?
It will track in RA just not move when I try too guide 🤷♂️ So i can still image but only short exposures no guiding .
factory reset I guess u mean hand controller I don’t use it eqmod direct

I just don’t know where to go from here

I’ve got a old computer in loft mite drag that out

Could it be a fault with mother board in mount
-
No mate tried pulse also won’t move RA fine in DEC
-
Tried that mate tried tight /slack nipped up every tightness you can think of . It was working fine last year just not now nothing has changed in set up 🤷♂️

Help please I’ve tried 3 st4 cables I’ve tried pulse guiding I’ve tried PHD2 I’ve tried maxim dl I’ve tried reinstalling I’ve tried different rates god knows I’ve tried everything thing was working fine last season just can’t get it work this time I’m giving up thinking of getting a stand alone guider .
any suggestions that I’ve not tried mount moves fine with ascom control but if I use the controls in tools for both software will only move north south ?

Excellent idea will defo take image of CCTV camera thanks for reply and for advice with guider just been looking at IR UV filters for guider .
i don’t think the IR should affect camera with narrow band filters but I was thinking some one on here would know .
-
Hi
Probably a stupid question ,Infrared light on CCTV camera I have them in my yard so I can keep a eye on my scope when the roof is open just for Unwonted people popping their heads over the wall or jumping into yard when my obbs is open Can this affect narrow band filters .
the light from CCTV cameras doesn’t shine directly down tube or onto scope .my guide camera has no filters but my guiding is alway good can you get fillers for guide cameras ? In case I do want one . Guide camera lodestar x2
i only use lum, ha,0111,s2 never use the rgb set that I’ve got I would guess the rgb would let IR light in .

This was a tricky one over two nights HA 3hours 600sec subs/ 0111 2hours 600sec subs/ s2 2 hours 600sec subs total 7 hour I was hoping their would be a lot more data in the image to work with maybe's I need a lot more hours spent on this one I guess 7 hours doesn't cut it .
Equipment WO FLT 110 , SX825 ,AZ-EQ6 GT , Loadstar x2
