Last night (2020-09-17) was not too bad a sky for me (SQM 20.3), but it was a rather frustrating session. Telescope alignment problems meant I had to re-do that mid-session. Some software problems. And then leaving the filter wheel on Blue for the last couple of objects.
First up here though, is NGC 7662 - the blue snowball planetary nebula - in fact it was really too bright! I tried this LRGB composite, which has a tinge of blue...
C11 on G11, f/6.3, ZWO ASI174MM mini
LRGB 2x30s each.

So this is how it turned out after running it through Registax. I took it using my new Zwo asi224mc it took a bit of playing about with and reading a ton of posts and watching hours of video but I feel this looks half decent it’s definitely more detail than I ever managed with my webcam. Quite pleased I must say 😁
I ran your picture through GIMP 2.10.20

Of all the extra kit I've bought over the years I have to say Bobs Knobs is probably the best investment I've made.
Just spent 15 minutes collimating my C8 SCT and I'm well impressed. Never had a collimation go so easily.
Cost of the knobs was very cheap, quality is excellent and customer service superb.
If you've got an SCT, I would strongly urge you to upgrade.
Oh and for the record I've never collimated an SCT until tonight using Polaris.

Ordered a sky watcher auto focuser on Tuesday with a fringe killer filter and it arrived this morning.
Once again excellent service from FLO and this time no clouds were used in the packing!
FLO, I luv you man...

I bought my first refractor because of Sir Patrick.
Thank you for the amazing sights I've seen.

I must be lucky, mine seems to move when I twist the knobs by hand in opposite directions and the axle seems straight as well.
I deem this a useless hobby

I took up wargaming for the cloudy night only to find wargaming is way more expensive than astronomy! On the plus side, nearly every time we finish gaming the skies have cleared.
