  1. I can't imagine it really matters if the cross hairs are dead centre. Most finder scopes don't even have cross hairs. It's there to get you in the ball park. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  2. Very nice. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  3. I bought one. The brush is a bit tough and I wouldn't use it again. I bought a "hurricane blower" instead. It's a better job. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk. "Go out, look up!"
  4. Sorry not next year, 2014. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk. "Go out, look up!"
  5. According to Solar Walk April next year. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk. "Go out, look up!"
  6. Nice. I just took delivery of my NexImage package so looking forward to getting images like this! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk. "Go out, look up!"
  7. 48 and fast approaching the big 5-0! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk. "Go out, look up!"
  8. Just got my telescope out in time to watch the clouds come in and cover the moon! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk. "Go out, look up!"
  9. I made the US date mistake on my 8se. It stumped me for 3 hours! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk. "Go out, look up!"
  10. One thing which had me stumped for 3 hours was the American date format. I was entering 12th August 2012 as 12/08/12 which of course was December 8th. Align failed all night long because of it.
  11. I have some dents in my dob and it doesn't affect it in the slightest. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk. "Go out, look up!"
  12. It was Orion Nebula which did it for me. It actually took me quite a while to find Saturn and Jupiter had gone for the year. My first scope was an even cheaper Argos one but as they say, the only useless scope is one which is never used! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk. "Go out, look up!"
  13. I have my iPad mounted on my 12" dob and using the StarWalk App I have my own "push-to" system. It doesn't find anything for me but puts me in the ball park. Personally I don't want a go-to but if someone wants to buy a 14" go-to dob, go outside and let the telescope do the work then fair enough. I think stargazing and astronomy are two different things. 14. I thought my 12" Dob didn't need collimated until I went out with my Society and one of the guys collimated it and the difference was tremendous. My point is it will not make your images worse by collimating it and it's unlikely it is right by chance. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk. "Go out, look up!"
  15. Thanks for the heads up. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
