  1. Thanks. I don't see anything on his website to indicate that he mods 6D's. Do you know if this is the case?
  2. Hi I have a Canon 700D and a Canon 6D Mk1, both of which I'm considering getting astromodified for wide field work on static and tracking mounts. I'd also be able to use both for daytime photography after modding too. Any recommendations on modding services in the UK and should I worry about replacement or Baader BCF filters, anti-aliasing filters etc after removal of the cut filter? Thanks!

My second trip to Galloway Star Camp and a great 3 nights of imaging. Getting the idea of guiding, using darks and stacking multiple sub exposures to bring out more detail. No flats taken, which might have helped with the vignetting on some of these, but I think I'm moving in the right direction. Hope you enjoy!

Single 1200s (20min) exposure at ISO400 through SW Skyliner 200 on NEQ6 mount, PHD guided. Photoshop CS3 processed. The true movement of the comet nucleus with respect to the background stars over the 20 minute exposure time causes it to appear as a short bright line rather than a distinct point.

My first star camp and my first images using PHD guiding! So many targets on one of the best skies I've ever had the pleasure of viewing. Images are all just single frames, no darks or flats, that's all to come as I get more confidence in my setup. Hope you enjoy them as much as I have!
