Bought a GSO 32mm from 365 Astronomy-turned up very well packaged, boxed & in a protective bag. Also, Zoltan was good enough to put one aside until I got paid. Would certainly use them again!

Ordered a Telrad on Tuesday after a call to check it was in stock (thumbs up to FLO for suggesting another retailer!), received on Saturday, after an email stating it had been dispatched; good service, I'd use again.

belatedly wanted to add to this thread, I got this for a penny off amazon, in good nick too, would recommend to anyone; not had much chance to use in the field but looks super!

Absolutely crystal clear! I have to disagree on the fragrance and sex appeal of Brad Pitt: ever since I started using Lynx, I just can't get peace.

Opticron 8x40s

Hi all,
Ordered a William Optics eyepiece from FLO & massively impressed by the service given by Martin; he did not sit on the fence advising me on my choice of EP, and was even quick to answer a follow-up general astro question.
Good to deal with people who know what they are talking about.

Ordered Opticron 8x40s from FLO on Friday; received confirmation email and another to confirm the package had been dispatched. Arrived very well packed today. Can't comment on the product, because it's a birthday present I'm not allowed yet; but efficient service.

yeah: wouldn't matter cos I'd have the 12mm - I think you might have helped solve my eyepiece range dilemma!

thanks mate: good thinking, that would leave my current 25mm close to 12mm with Barlow, but still...

Right, then, so with my Skyliner 150 dob, I already have a good quality 25mm eyepiece, and was thinking of adding 9mm & 6mm for medium & high power. Is that about right?

Fair point Ant: I just think that massive preconceptions if you read some stuff on the 'net. But the site does plenty already.

Well, I'm overwhelmed by the fact that everyone is so friendly, can be bothered, and clearly want to share with others the experience they have. It is such a change from the competitive way of the world. While there are books on the subject of course, it would be good & useful I think to maybe have a section on having realistic ideas of what you can expect to see with a starter scope. Thus I have looked at Jupiter 4 nights in a row now when clouds are off, thought it would be bigger, but it's growing on me anyway. Also how to find obvious things as a beginner. However, this site is great as it is anyway, makes you feel like you are welcome as part of a community - and there are clearly a fascinating range of people here.

Ordered some glasses to (I hope!) watch the eclipse; good communication & well-packaged fast delivery. Recommend.
