Did you use flats on these? I have the same telescope but have mainly been using the 1.0 flattener and I've loved it so far. Yesterday I tried the 0.8 reducer to get more of the tail of Comet 12P/Pons–Brooks but it causes a diffuse bright central area. No signs of condensation, switched out to the 1.0 flattener and it looked fine again. Main hypothesis now is that there is something wrong with my particular reducer.... come to think of it I did also put in the L-Pro filter for the first time so have to rule that out... maybe it's the more likely culprit.... I'm a little confused by the straight edge vignetting at the long borders. That must be caused by something else?
