  1. Hello, I’ve been reading through the excellent advice here. I want to buy a simple to use telescope that can be transported by car between my city centre home and middle-of-nowhere caravan which is on a small, peaceful site near Hereford. We spend most evenings there sat outside the van with a glass of something and I’ve been thinking that a scope would be a good addition. I have a budget of up to £300 which I’m hoping is reasonably healthy for a beginner/casual user. Ive read a few sites with beginners equipment lists and watched some videos and there is a short(ish) list. I’d appreciate any views on suitability. I’d always want good performance and would use it for visual only - I’m not particularly interested in photography. I love looking at the moon but will also want to view other planets and if some deep space was possible that would be amazing. My city centre home is very urban so does have some light pollution although the back garden isn’t too bad. The caravan location is much better. These all came from recommendations either on FLO’s beginners list and in the case of the Celestron StarSense, sky at night’s list - included that mainly because of the automatic focussing if I’m completely honest. - Ursa Major 102mm Tabletop Dobsonian - Sky-Watcher Heritage-130P (or 150) - Celestron StarSense Explorer LT 80 AZ Refractor I do realise this is a bit of a range so views very welcome! Thanks in advance
