I have a budget of £80-90 per eyepiece.

I have Celestron astro fi 6 and comes with kellner 10 & 25mm. I want to get better eyepieces, and I use the scope both for planets and deep sky. Any recommendations? Thanks

Does anybody have Celestron astro fi 6 sct? I'm still having alignment problems. I have watched YouTube where you start off horizontal and pointing north. When I connect and align in Skyportal, the target crosshair(shows position of scope) always points at polaris. When I slew the scope to Castor, and it's in the finderscope I press enter, then find it in the eyepiece and press align - the target crosshair, I thought was meant to lineup with the star. Instead it goes nowhere near. Am I doing something wrong? I have spoken to the supplier and they said don't worry about the crosshair target.

I've since realised the crosshairs target in Skyportal does not move. This is what should be used to align. Is this a fault on the unit or the software?

I expect this topic has already been mentioned, but I'm having problems trying to align astro fi 6 sct. I've tried Connect, then centering on Betelgeuse, then selecting Align. Repeating for Aldabaran, but seems to ignore the alignment. I've also tried Connect and align, but with not much success. How many stars are you meant to align with?

I have a Celestron Astro Fi 6 sct and want to use my mobile to take photos. Can you control the Telescope using a laptop, as the Skyportal app is for Ios or Android, or does it have to a tablet?

Thanks for replies, I was talking a about the Astro Fi on it's AZ-alt mount, instead of the 150P-DS on it's EQ5 mount.

I 'm not a complete novice, but I' my after a little bit of advice. I was thinking of the Sky-Watcher Explorer 150P-DS on an EQ5 goto pro, as I wanted to do some AP. Looking at the weight I think it will be too heavy, so I was considering the Celestron Astro Fi 6 Schmidt-Cassegrain, as it says you can do some basic AP. Does anybody have experience of doing AP with it or for that matter any experience of using the Telescope? Thanks.

I'm thinking of getting either a Star-explorer150P EQ3 PRO goto or the DS version. I'm after advice how easy it is to set up. Also,I want to do imaging and it says the DS version is better, as it has a shorter tube an dual speed focuser. Has anybody any experience of this, the DS is more expensive?
