  1. yeah i got the moon quite sharp in my eyepiece
  2. hmm yeah, im an amateur so i guess it will take some time
  3. oh damn, i didnt think about that, thats probably what happened then
  4. i wasnt able to see the moons either. im pretty sure i was well focused so could it be a collimation issue?
  5. ive actually observed the moon through my telescope and i can see a lot of detail, i never used a moon atlas tho, will try, thanks!
  6. yeah im a newbie in complete honesty so i guess i just need some more time with it
  7. yeah it's a 127mm, focal length 1000mm. i actually did try higher magnification. i used a barlow lens with my 20mm eyepiece and i had also tried a 4mm eyepiece but neither way showed enough detail. ill take a look into the website, thanks!
  8. ohhh okay, i was actually expecting to see a lot more detail so i think i just had my hopes up lol
  9. I used the normal scope i got with the telescope for general viewing i believe, the place where i observe is pretty light polluted, i saw it as a bright spot of white rather than the normal colours you would expect to see, although i did focus it.
  10. Hello everyone! I recently observed Jupiter through my telescope and even though i focused it i wasn't able to see the colours/details properly. If anyone can share any solutions to this pls lmk!
  11. Yeah I can see the moon very clearly and the craters are sharp when focused
  12. Yeah that is exactly what I am seeing. Would it be the same for planets or not? When I try to observe Venus I come across the same problem
  13. I'll answer all the questions in order: 1. I have a powerseeker 127eq. 2. The image gets smaller in the middle without the spider vanes showing but it looks like a tiny speck of light in that case. When all the way in and out the image is enlarged with the spider vanes showing. 3. (same question) 4. Yeah thats the thing, when I am in focus it looks really really small and when i try to focus more the spider vanes show.
  14. When I try to observe objects in the sky through my telescope, the secondary vanes show on the object while observing through the eyepiece
  15. But I still don't understand how to not get the secondary vane when observing
  16. Oh ok I see, I'll do the necessary changes and update. Thanks!
  17. Yes, sorry they may not be that clear i guess it's the autofocus and it's hard to keep it still at the eyepiece
  18. I used my phone camera, however much I tried to focus on my telescope the secondary vanes were visible that's the problem
