  1. Thanks Elp Ive not not managed to do calibration frames yet as part of my workflow. Thanks for the the reply and perceptions. John
  2. Many thanks for the sound advice. I have another cooled camera so I will see if the same happens with this. I will then know if it’s elsewhere in the optical train cheers John
  3. Hi I bought this camera preowned from Astro buy and sell. I wonder if experienced imagers can give their opinion on the attached non processed image. it has been stacked in Siril with Lights only. Each sub was about 120 sec long and there was about 30 images. I know there is amp glow with this camera. However, I’m wondering about the dark areas. One looks like a circle. I’m concerned that I been sold a camera with a dirty sensor. However, this camera has sealed sensor so dust shouldn’t enter the sensor. Opinions greatly appreciated
  4. Hi all Im wondering does anybody know where I can get a ZWO asi air pro repaired within the UK. Please see attached image. The unit does not power if the DC plate is not attached. It does not stay in place or click in anymore. Any advice appreciated. Cheers John
  5. Thanks globular Do you use a wedge? Will post an image of the problem John
  6. Hi all I have the above rig using an 8 inch SCT. It’s on a Celestron wedge. My problem is that EAF and Diagonal is slewing into the mount when either aligning or manually trying to look at certain points in the sky. I personally believe it’s a design fault due to how long the focus adapter protrudes from the back of the OTA. I have tried positioning the OTA further up the rail but it still does not clear. I think this particular combination is a no goer with this particular rig. I’m asking all knowledgeable members for advice. I feel that either the wedge is the problem or getting a Heave duty equatorial mount may be the only solution thanks
