Fighting Dragons of Ara - NGC 6188

This is my completed mosaic of "The Fighting Dragons of Ara" nebula image. I started working on this image back in May 2022 and finished exposing the data on the morning of 9th June 2022. The full resolution of the finished image is 48mp.

NGC 6188 or Gum 53 (AKA The Fighting Dragons) is an emission nebula located about 4,000 light years away in the constellation Ara.

Mosaic consists of four plates, imaged with a QHY268M with Sulfur II, Hydrogen Alpha and Oxygen III narrowband filters, through a doublet ED 80mm refractor at F6.25 (500mm focal length) and tracked with a "hypertuned" CGEM mount.

The total exposure time spent on all four panes for this image was 68 hours.
