Solar projecting with the Astral 500 in the back garden

Hi Dave, I had one of these last year...I bought it on ebay for £20 and it was absolutely mint condition! I sold it later in the year for about £45..it was identical to this, a later Prinz with Towa (Circle T) lens, good quality. I liked the colour too..if you haven't already got one, get a hybrid 0.965" to 1.25" diagonal from scope n skies so you can use modern eps...it'll transform the performance of your scope, trust me! Nice on Dave :-)

yep I got a cheap hybrid diagonal from astroboot, and a straight through adaptor collar too, been using my TAL 7.5 and 40mm lenses with it and a nice 17mm celestron plossl, also a Meade 6mm I picked up used, much better than the old trashy huygens eyepieces, gives this old friend a new lease of life
