May half moon

rotatux

First half may moon

My only clear night during that may holidays was spoiled by the moon, so I shot it.

This is the one stack of 2, with the lower exposure.  Result is contrasty but may lack a bit depth.  Selected the vertical, natural, orientation.

Gear: Skywatcher 130PDS with Olympus E-PL6 on Omegon EQ-300 tracking RA
Capture: about 25 burst shots × 1/320s × 400 ISO
Site: deep country within 50km from Limoges, France (dark sky)
Processing: UFRaw, CVAstroAlign, Fotoxx
