M42 and the Running Man
I had a really clear night and took the opportunity to start new projects on four targets. This was my third target. I took a combination of 1s and 30s subs to try and manage both the core and prevent overexposure throughout the image (which I'm finding is easy to do at higher gains). Here's my first version of M42 on my alt-az mount using the Skywatcher Esprit 80 and the ZWO ASI1600MM-cooled.
All subs at -20C, 300 gain and 50 offset:
30 x 1s x L
2 x 45s x L
58 x 30s x L
15 x 30s x R, G & B
All calibrated with bias, darks and flats and processed in PixInsight
