Heart and Soul Nebulae
September this year has been a difficult time for imaging but on the night of the 25th September 2016 the sky was clear and I was able to image the area of sky containing the Heart and Soul Nebulae. The image was taken using my Canon 600D DSLR with a 100mm lens setting f/5.6 piggybacked on a SkyWatcher Startravel 102mm refractor and Synscan Alt-Az Go-To mount. A total of 124 forty five second light frames at ISO 800 were used along with x50 flat and x50 bias frames and stacked in DSS. The subsequent master image was processed in StarTools.
