Need to buy a new scope help!

Hi i'm new at this and looking for advice on a new scope! Reflector? Refractor? I can possibly squeeze to £350 or there about, the club i have just joined suggester a Skywatcher 150p reflector. i know its got good right ups but it would be good to have other options. now as you can all see i am like a lanb to the slaughter so i can only reiterise HELP!

You'll get a better response if you post your plea in the main forum (beginners section).

there are always plenty of decent used scopes on fleabay, but also a great many not so decent ones too. Better to become familiar with what's worth investigating. Skywatcher, Celestron, Meade etc. Famous names can be picked up at reasonable prices, but best to try to have a good look at them before buying, unless you are likle me and a total impulse purchaser......

Now i know that most people into astronomy are above average intelligence but i am the exception i can not work out how to post on the normal threads in the main forum. Help needed twice

buy the biggest newtonian light bucket secondhand that you can get your hands on; f6 to f8 the smaller the f number the greater colimation misery [harder to get/keep in focus]

Go to the beginners section, then just below the photo of the week, on the left there is a button marked New Thread. Press the button and new page will appear for you to post your new thread.

You are able to spell, which on a lot of forumses, doesn't seem to matter.......
