PHD cannot write log file... Win8

I am using a Win 8 laptop, and trying to use Phd for guiding.  I tried Phd2 first but it was unable to get sufficient star movment in the Dec axis to calibrate, I am using an Avx, and starlight OAG, this failure occurred several times

I switched to Phd, the calibration and guiding was seamless, but when I am done i get the message that it cannot write the log file.

The location it cites is an appropriate location, but it cannot write the file.  Not sure if this is a permission issue with Win8, but I do not know how to solve it.

hi mate in phd2 click the brain icon and change the calibration step (ms) to something like 1500 or 2000, that solved the "insufficient star movement" for me.

I will have a look at the calibration step, perhaps I will look and see what Phd is using since it works and copy these to Phd2.  I hope PHd2 can write the log file to disk
