M51 various sessions.

Hello all

Been a while since i posted any images up on SGL. So thought i would share my recent effort of M51. This is a result of a few sessions, one from last year using my old EQ5 and a couple from over the last week or so with my NEQ6.

Various guided subs from 4 mins to 6 mins, total of 6 hrs 20 mins.

Taken with my 200P with a modded 1100D. 

Apropriate Darks and flats added.

Quick process in PS.

I`m quite happy with the result though i thought it would turn out better for over 6 hrs of data so could do with any and all advice!!

hi i had a quick play adjusted the colour balance some levels and curves high pass filter unfortunately i haven't got hlvg I'm using a mac i don't think you got the different exposures aligned correctly when you zoom in the stars are not aligned properly

Not sure about the alignment, I just checked the subs and threw them at DSS to sort out!!
