Solar Finder for SW 120mm ST

The solar finder was made using a 1.5 inch plumbing pipe.

Two turned wooden blanks.     Some wood for the QR foot.        

Superglue and a plastic milk carton.

Method

Pipe cut to length and two wooden blanks turned on lathe to fit inside the tube.

First blank had a 3mm hole drilled through centre.

Second (rear blank) was driledl out to about 25 mm. This had the milk carton piece stuck to it.

Wooden mount made to fit the QR foot on the SW Telescope and the whole superglued to the plastic tube.

It works perfect for me.  Really pleased it’s the first DIY accessory made.
