Starblast 4.5 imaging ota and DSLR?

Recommended Posts

I've been looking at Orion's starblast 4.5 imaging ota for imaging dsos on my smarteq mount. My only question is will it function with my canon1100d DSLR . If you have any experience in this matter plz comment. Thanks!

Its an intermediate telescope. Specially someone who is interested in astrophotography . Also has a decent steallar magnifude of 12.9....so most of the major dso's can b easily captured. If u ask me id say go for it.

Why dont you choose a nikon instead if a canon...??.. its new intry level cameras have better sensors than the 1100d...for eg. The nikon d3300. Just that u may need an intervalometer for longer exposures and avoid shake. Its just my opinion though.
