Canon 1000d with 55-200mm zoom

This is the first time I've properly had a go at lunar imaging, having been inspired by the article on astrophotography in this month's Sky at Night magazine.

I'm sure this will be a very common image, I just wanted to share anyway! Focused using autofocus on the moon, mounted on an old alloy square-tubed tripod. You can probably make out some heat shimmer from the buildings, meh.

Used the Shoot timer remote control (wired).
