Skywatcher Skyliner 250PX FlexTube GOTO

Recommended Posts

If, by astrophotography, you mean deep sky, then no. In DS imaging you need a good accurate equatorial mount, HEQ5 Pro minimum. You don't need a big scope. Look at what the small refractors are doing on the DS imaging board.

However, you could use the alt az Dobsonian mount for webcam imaging of the moon and planets.

Astrophotography is complicated and really I would urge you to read up on it, eg Making Every Photon Count by Steve Richards here on the forum.

But as a visual scope the 10 inch GoTo Dob would be a real treat.
