Camera focusing problem

Recommended Posts

Hi

I managed to take some shots of the sun in white light yesterday using a 120mm refractor, I was really chuffed.

Today I tried the same thing with my Explorer 200P. The trouble is I can't get focus. I cannot get the camera close enough to the scope to take pics without removing any adaptors such as the adaptor to mount the camera. It's probably something very silly but it's driving me up the wall, arrggghhhhh. Please can somebody help.

I had the same problem and phoned steve at FLO today.

Basiclly if you are using a T ring and 1.25 nose piece. you need to unscrew the nose from the T Ring.

Then Unscrew the EP Holder form your Focuser on the OTA.

You will see a thread on the focser, you now screw the T Ring minus the 1.25 nose on to the Focuser

and then attach the Camera to the T Ring in the normal way.

Hope this helps
